easier to change the whole axle housing as well..rather then just the diff head, and its likely to be cheaper as well, im pretty sure the KE30 diff heads dont fit into the KE20's axle housing.

well, mate, iv had to do both in the last 3 weeks, and iv found it is alot easier to change the whole housing rather than just the diff head over, specially if its just a KE20 one, its also going to be a good starting point, for when he wants to put some decent wheels on, as the KE30 stud pattern is 114.3x4 and the KE20 one is 110x4, so most people prefer to upgrade, also, i know a few people will sell JUST a diff head for around $40-$70, whereas i picked up a whole axle housing and diff head for $60, and just had to change the axles over, which wasnt a problem, because to change the diff head, you have to remove the axles anyway.
go figure, i know what id prefer to do.

ive ben through plenty of axle housing swapping, especially on KE corollas, id just prefer to ping out a couple axles and a driveshaft, rather than tryin to keep the housing on the trolley jack, fukkn with subframes, reset handbrake, and most people will tell you how FUKN GAYY those DAMN handbrake cable clips on the backing plate are

each to their own i guess. im not gonna argue with you, coz we both have different opinions.
