AE111 adjusties

Postby rallymazda » Fri Oct 08, 2004 7:03 pm

ok ive been searching for adjustable suspension to fit my AE111 with super strut suspension, ive been told only trd do them, this is ok apart from the price is $5500 (the car cost $6000) so that is way to much, does anyone know other brands that will fit or do i have to resort to lower springs

I believe it is possible to modify the SS housing to fit a non SS insert, talk to the professionals as i am sure it is not much more reshaping the flat section on the housing to a more rounded shape  not easy but not impossible!!

According to http://www.trdsales.com/shop/product.asp?catcode=272 it looks like yours should retail for closer to $2400?

the correct part number for the ae111 coilover set is 48000-ae190

48000-ae110 is for the non height adjustable sus set, for the ae101-111 s/s. its been d/c but you can still get it in individual parts

TRD part numbers dont always relate to what they fit, just cause its got ae110 in the part number doesnt mean itll fit an ae110...

My bad, looked at the lowering springs page and saw that AE110 was for the AE111 model and thought it must have been the same for the adjustables.

go for the SAS ones they are really good,
my mate has trd ones in his ae111 and if u try get that nice low look they just bottom out real easy!

SAS ones also have adjustable strut length!! means u can also lower the car by adjusting the whole strut and making it shorter, therefore when trying to go low the car wont bottom out. :D

thinnk they retail for $1800-$2000 +gst

and with the 111's it doesnt seem possible to get them nice and low and still have handling/travel
the lowered ones i've seen are never level either, always higher at the back
