Postby mister_two » Sat Oct 09, 2004 6:59 pm

Hi guys, just got myself a Jamex Daytona fixed back seat

in the website it says easy to install, but once i took my old seat out things started turning complicated

the runner doesn't come off, should I take it to a panel beater??

Has anyone done it before in their SW20 ?

can anyone please help me out !!!

Using the factory runners is a no go IME, as they're an integral part of the seat. I suppose you could buy another seat and destroy it, but I'm still not sure it would work. Buying Bride or Recaro runners is the easiest option, or you could fabricate your own using off the shelf parts and custom fabricated mounts. Then you get to the seatbelt clasp which is attached to the factory seat and requires a custom bracket, and a cert.

hey Nan, didn't realise that was you :). I've got a Bride Altezza runner that could be adapted quite easily as long as the seats are side mount, $150 if you're keen.

i used my factory ae85 seat rails to fit my bucket seat(jamex ripoff) also bottom mount. but it requires destroying your factory seat. pm me if ur interested.
current: s14 silvia k's.
previous: ae85 levin 4agte, rt84 corona, kp61 starlet.
