halfshafts wont come out!

hey guys, were changing the box on my mates fwd car. Now we have undone the lower control arm etc, and the shaft just needs to pull out of the box, but it wont.
it pulls out a little bit, but it sounds like its hitting something inside the diff. any ideas?

Pull harder the little $&#$% circlips can get stuck, try getting a big flatblade screwdriver up between the flange on the driveshaft and the diff and tapping it up to pry it out

Yeah, pull harder. Theres usually some play (ie a fair bit) on the inner joints

I agree with the others... it's just a matter of pulling harder... I use a bar to leverage it out
