Hi there, the 4age red/black top TVIS motor in my FXGT has done 220,000k's and has quite a few oil leaks, one resulting from the previous owner changing the cambelt but not replacing the seals.. one inbetween the gearbox and engine and the distributor seal.
My delema is this: Should I have the oil leaks fixed or is it more cost effective sourcing another 4age in better nick and with lower k's as a replacement?
The leak between the gearbox and the engine would require removing the gearbox and is not really worth it unless the clutch needed doing, and the seal around the cambelt would require removal of the cambelt and stuff.. so which option should I go for?? Another engine or fixing the leaks on the current one?
Any fedback would be greatly appreciated
Cheers, Matt.
