ae101 boost gauge

Postby ndeany » Sun Nov 07, 2004 10:33 am

I've just purchased a boost gauge for my ae101 levin gtz. I've fitted my t piece along a vacum hose between the intake and the brown vsv on the firewall, as someone said on here earlier. But I'm only getting vacum readings, the gauge isn't hitting any boost readings, even though the car is clearly boosting. Whats going on??

Never laid eyes on an ae101, but have fitted a few boost guages. The feed for the guage wants to be taken after the throttle butterfly, sounds like you may have it in the wrong place.

There is three vac hoses that run over the top of the intake manifold that connect the intake manifold, ABV, FPR etc between the VSV.

You want to tee into the 3rd vac line when your standing on the drivers side of the car looking towards the passenger side, or the line furtherest towards the front of the car (which is off the intake manifold).

Hope this helps.
