What gearbox fluid ahould I be running in my W57 box. Repco stated that the recommended replacement for this box was Castrol Syntrax. 75 - 90 synthetic fluid. $99.

I have also been told that a certain heavy duty tractor gearbox fluid is what many people run these days.

Or what about castrol VMX? Or is that not good enough?

mobil gear lube 75w-90 will do fine

I used Redline in my old W57...seems to do the job just fine.

That box I would use Castrol VMX. We use it in all our RWD boxes and Syntrax in the FWD's

I think i paid about $30 or so per bottle of redline wich is like 1l or sumfin.
