shouldn't be too hard i'm guessing since it's still the same series motor just out of a different chassis and different gen.

i dnt know if the mounts will bolt up exactly you might need a lil modding in that department.

Putting the motor in...easy :D
Getting it to run...bloody hard work.

The GTT ECU is far more intergrated with the rest of the cars electrical systems and would be a major PITA to get going in another car, even if you could find the wiring diagrams (which I've been unable to locate for the last 2 years) I doubt it would be an easy task.

Given the relative simplicity of the ST185's electronics fitting an aftermarket ECU with your engine package would solve most problems, but it would more than double the cost of the project, and again would be a major PITA without wiring diagrams, or specs, of the various sensors and other components on the engine.

This sounds like a compromise answer will be.....

By a Caldine GT-T and save yourself the agony.

Unless of course you happen to have the $5k + time + hair it's going to take to do the job :D

I'd guess closer to $10k + time + frustration to get the job done properly unless you know where you can source a GTT motor complete with turbo and loom for under $3500

the electrics in the GTT are enough of a pita when you actually have a gtt, god only knows what sort of sadist you'd need to be to do that to yourself as a conversion!

lol so gt-t engines are a PITA...

I wasnt gona do it myself(hell im keen but not stupid :p)

I just figured gt-t's are heavier than st185's... pretty quick standard so in a lighter body with a few mods would be pretty nice an something different from a evo/sub/other common cars :)

and also realitivly sleeperish lol

waste of time, just mod the 185 engine.
For around $3K you should be able to do 13's.
