gze exhaust

looking at getting a new exhaust on my gze as my old one poked itself
anyone else notice that toyota cant make a muffler for shit?

anyway, anyone got any idea of how much it would cost for 2 1/4 piping and resonators and fitting from someone like pit stop?

i figure i can save some cash if i buy headers and a cannon on here or trademe and get the rest done by the shop

is it worth shopping around or are the prices generally the same wherever you go? i know madrel bends are better than pressed but is it worth the extra $$ going mandrel? i want a nice HP upgrade but also a nice, street usable (not too loud) system. does this exist?

You could track down a set of 20valve factory extractors. I think they bolt up with a very minor mod.
They are very good - mandrel bent and good joins and fairly cheap. It would cost big $ to do better than them.
If you remove the cat -keep hold of it in case it has to be put back in if they change the law about emissions.

Also look here for vvega comment about the 2 into 1 part of the exhaust.
