so i was off in lala land last night, thinking about turbos when i wondered...

say your main shaft snapped, causing the compressor wheel to go haywire in the housing and shatter into tiny little pieces. whats stopping those tiny pieces from going right through your engine and rooting that too?
there must be an easy explanation for this. kept me awake until 2:30 this morning for whatever stupid reason (i dont even have a turbo car!)

anyway its been bugging the shit out of me so can someone please SHED SOME LIGHT!!!

yeah thats what i figured. they have an air filter to stop tiny ass specs of dust getting into your engine.. imagine what big sharp pieces of turbo would do (gives you a good reason to bore it out i spose :D )
