What's wrong with the old carbs? Get a rebuild kit and do it yourself. They're not too difficult. $500 is insane for carb rebuild.

TE71, if you want help ,pm me. i have a few sets of these carbs as well as the workshop manual if you can be bothered mucking around with rebuilding them.

what did that escort have? the stock single barrel? or twin downdraught weber?

the escort single barrel is kinds basic compared to the mikunis on a 2t...
