Which bushes should I replace with urethane/nolathane?

Postby ChaosAD » Wed Feb 02, 2005 6:20 pm

I have an ae82 fxgt and am replacing the bushes with urethane ones.

In the whiteline handling kit
http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/fact_sheets/CK_CorAE82%20TCam.PDF http://www.whiteline.com.au/articles/RH41_CorollaTwinCam_a.htm
only the rear trailing arm bushes, all the swaybar bushes and the front control arm bushes are replaced (the control arm ones are offset to increace castor).

Im getting some Nolathane bushes (nolathane is just a brand of urethane bushes). Which ones should I get? should I get some of the offset ones? If any particular bushes are unavailable should I use some new standard ones or just leave them?

Do you know someone with a metal lathe? If so for the unavailable ones you could buy a stick of urethane and make them. If you have plenty of spare time you could even make almost all of them for less than half the price.

if you cant find urethane ones then by all means use new toyota rubber ones. Won't last quite as long though.

Ive found a few places that actually make them if you supply the old bushes.

How do you re-grease the bushes without messing up your alignment.
