How to set a T.P.S?

Postby skoty » Fri Feb 18, 2005 8:20 pm

My TPS (throttle-position sensor) has been tampered with therefore needs adjusting back to normal as it thinks ive got wide open throttle on idle, therfore injecting more fuel to compensate.

So... I need to set it back to normal condition and as far as I know I need a set of feeler gauges (0.4 & 0.7mm?) to place in the throttle stop. I also need an ohmeter to measure the resistance when the throttle is adjusted. As far as I know it is the 'switch-type' so I will only have two resistance readings rather.

Can someone tell me the correct procedure for this....?

Does this mean you've got it running??? Ive got the spec's somewhere i'll dig them out for you. In the mean time searc for "tps calibration" and look for a post by HRT. He may even read this and post it up again for you.

Once you've got the 2 middle setting right it should be fine.

There you go.
