paint not lookin so good on roof

tips on getting this clean, afaik, its the clearcoat, cos the black spot in the middle is lower than all the white crap, is there any way to clean this up?

Sand down and repaint - it's pretty $&#$% from what I can see. You could try a very strong cut, but I wouldn't expect any miracles.

the funny thing is its not peeling, it just looks really nasty, i prob will try a really strong cut

Go the jap import celicas, mine's the same.

Cutting won't do anythign because the clear coat is comming off, so if you cut it it will just leave it in a matt finish. You have to sand it and repaint it/just spray on clear coat (whioch won't last too long). :lol:

well i dont mind having a matt finish for the mean time, i just hate all that white crap, will a good cut remove the white crap? as i said, i dont really care atm if it ends up a matt black, as long as its some sorta black rather than the crap it is atm.

Had the exact same problem on my '89 celica when i bought, except it was all over the bonnet and roof, also the spoiler. The clear coat had completely peeled back.
Basically a whole repaint of the top and sides of the car - looked a lot nicer afterwards.

yea i think im gonna have to succome (spelling) to the fact that it does need a repaint, excellent excuse to paint it a nicer colour :D
