4A-E to 4A-GE

Postby Pelo » Wed Apr 06, 2005 8:30 pm

I have an i85 FX-SR corolla and a 4A-GE on a stand. What EXACTLY do I need to do to change the motor to a GE? Parts, wiring, fueling, etc?
Who has actually done it?

:)

You will need to change the loom and ECU, change the in tank fuel pump as the stocker won't keep up with the demand of a 4AGE.
If you want to as well (and i would recomend this) is to upgrade the brakes, discs all round.
Exhaust system will also need to be modified as a 4AGE has the exhaust ports on the other side of the head.
Don't know if you have this but you'll need an inlet manifold and TB.
From memory the radiator has 2 fans, you'll have to remove the drivers side fan as it will get in the way of the exhaust.
