ill hopefully have the 14-pin plug for the ECU sorted in the next couple of days...

in the meantime i was talking to an auto-electrician today and he handed me a 672 page book on ignition wiring and said "i got way to much work on at the moment - take this and have a read". luckily theres only 3 pages for 4age engines

here is a diagram out of the book for 4age's 1984 through to 1989.
should i just wire up my coil/ignition etc the same as this? or will it need to be different seeing as its going into a ke35.
do i need a power wire running from the ignition to the ignitor for when the key is on, aswell as the power wire running from the battery?

all of the stuff in the diagram seems to match my loom, except the part from the ignition switch to the ignitor (obviously).
hope this makes sense...

Hey, in regard to the EFI Main relay, heres is a pic of how mines set out. Note: the R/H side is the side with the part number etc on it.

Oh, and dont get too jelious of my artwork!

Do you have a fuse box on the 4AG loom? If so it will be in that, a reddy brownish 4 pin relay.

Nah, doesnt matter what model its off, as a matter of fact any EFI Yota one will do AFAIK. Mines off an AE92 smallport. All it is, is a switch so as long as the pin layout is the same you will be sweet.

so whats on the other side? just fuses?

and as far as the the pin layout is concerned, i don't even have a plug for the fusebox so does this even matter?.
ive had to cut up another plug to fit into my 3rd port on the ECU and i'll be wiring everything from there myself, so can I just run the wires to any sort of fuses? or are they special fuses?
i'll check out my other loom later tonight though, i got a feeling there is a fusebox on that one.

There is nothing on the other side, its a sealed unit. In saying it needs the same pin layout, I just mean Its the only one I know how to use so if you get a different on I cant help with wiring it and the above pic will not apply.

Have you seen a headlight relay? In the fusebox in the engine bay, there will be a couple of redish "box" type things. They are relays not fuses, this is what Im talking about.

ok i couldn't find anything on the other loom, only this fusebox. i might go to pick-a-part in tauranga on the weekend, i know they've got a 4age there (celica from memory). where abouts (roughly) is the relay located on the engine bay/loom?

once i got this relay, do i splice the wires from #7 and #14 pins into one wire, then on the other end splice that 1 wire into 4 run them EFI Main relay pins?
