Probably quite a simple question.....

On My S/C AW11 would there be any point to getting a shorter belt to bypass the Air Con Pump? (The air con does not work)

Or would it just be a waste of time? Does an A/C pump waste any power when not engaged or does it spin completely freely?

There wouldn't be any point (other than losing that 3 or 4 kg's). They dont use any power while free-wheeling.

I got a belt that should fit, off the engine that I am putting in my car as I have AC and the car it is comming out of does not.
