Fuel injector compatibility

Postby Andy from the block » Sun Apr 17, 2005 10:42 am

Iam looking to upgrade the injectors on my 4agte, looking
for at least 440cc ones.

Was looking at injectors on trademe and wondering which ones
I could actually fit on my car?

I know GTIR ones are ment to drop in, how bout RX7? or EVO?
or skyline? or VR4?

What determines if you can drop a certain injector in a engine or not?
cheers

All you really need are ones that are the right physical size, and of the right impedance (high or low). High is generally around 13 ohms and low is around 2 ohms. If the plugs dont fit then chop the old ones off and solder on new ones which fit and you're away.

I've got a set of GTiR injectors and plugs here if you're after some

Only two things, the size/shape, will it fit in the fuel rail and the resistance but most of the time you can either add or remove the injection resistors to get the correct resistance for your ECU.

If you are using a 16V head then you can use EVO, GTiR plus many more but if your using a 20V head then you are limited without modification. GT4 injectors will go straight in (as long as they are side feed). Some Supra injectors will also go in. 8)
