Speed Sensor Swap

Postby Corona » Wed Apr 13, 2005 11:21 pm

Is it posable to take the electronic speed sensor from the A241E Auto Transmission that I have now, and use it on the Manual that I am putting in my car?

I would assume not, but need to ask in hope.

Yea, might...
I dont know the specific details of the boxes, but if the manual one never had a speed sensor then you will want the ring gear off the auto trans main shaft. it may or maynot require welding onto the manual shaft and then a hole made to put the sensor through.
I know this mod has been done and works on w5# boxes, so in theory it would work for you, just do a little measuring of shaft size etc.
Cant believe im still a member here.
