Postby deaf_rattle » Fri Apr 22, 2005 11:00 pm

Just been for a drive in my g/fs ae111 and it seems the headlights need to be alligned properly.

Im sure it will be self explanatory, but if someone could let me know how to do it, so when i go to do it tomorrow i know how.

cheers

Should be a couple of screw in behind the headlight, probably have an 8 or 10mm head on them and sometimes a philips head bit. One will adjust the headlight vertically (and quite quickly) while the other will do the horizontal adjustment. Most, if not all, will have the right stuff for adjusting the headlights properly and will probably do it for you when you go in for a warrent (another reason to avoid VTNZ). You really need the gear to set it right.

Either that or park a few metres from a wall and just get them at roughly the same high and aiming down a bit on dip.

to do it properly it must be done with a head light aligner. go to your nearest garage and they should do it for free. it only takes a few minutes if your headlights are in good condition. otherwise they can be too high and will shine in peoples eyes or too low.
want a ae86, dont want to pay 8 grand for one
have to settle for my ae92
