Gearbox Reconditioning - Sth Island

Hey.

My manual 89 celica's gearbox is gettin quite nasty, it seriously needs the 2nd gear syncro replaced.

So was talkin my mechanic and he reakoned it may be even better to find a place that does a swap deal for reconditioning, ie. you send them you box, and get a discount off a complete recond. one.

I know theres no one in dunedin but im curious as if any of you guys know of a christchurch based place that will do this? Im due to replace the clutch aswell so im trying to plan this and do it all at once.

theres mint place off moorhouse, same street as strawberry sounds (WHAT street is that? ) thing they are just called "The Gerbox Company" who helped a few of my mates out with some gearboxs mostly mazda's

Driveline Imports do an exchange deal on reconditioned boxes, not sure if cars are catered for , but we used them at my old work for light trucks.
