remote starter legal?

i dont want one, someone wants to know
legal on a manual?
legal on a automatic?
or are they legal on anything if they have the sensor to see if it in neutral or handbrake up?

As far as I know, they aint illegal, but if you have one installed on a manual the company will prolly make you sign a waiver saying they aint at fault if you hit something using that feature.

Yeah most places either flat out want install them OR as Muzzie mentions they get you to sign a waiver. Also a lot of places will ONLY install them on an automatic car.

I'm not sure about the legal issues on this but im told that these alarms usually dont' have very high rating so they are never rated as 5 stars...i havn't done any research into this but it might be something to think about...especially if your insurance co is quite strict.....
