Uprated fuel pump with std fpr

Postby jeremiahnz » Mon May 09, 2005 9:58 am

If running a standard fuel pressure regulator with a significantly uprated fuel pump is it possible that the fpr would not be able to regulate the fuel appropriately and end up running the car far too rich?

Cheers

Since the reg opens at a certain pressure, not closes, within reason it wont cause a problem. What engine/pump are you using???

It is running GT starlet injectors and fpr with a fuel pump rated to 500hp, which I think flows about 255lph.
