Racepro intercoolers

For anyone who may be contemplating one of these guys, I found some specs for them.

They're quite efficient, only dropping .5psi @ 1 bar, and can flow enough to support 650hp. Bar and plateconstruction for ya
Also, I've seen a few people selling Hybrid intercoolers quite cheap....as far as I can see, they're actually just Racepro ones...genuine Hybrid intercoolers have Hybrid embossed on the top of the core,, as well as the inner tubes being rounded, the Racepro ones are quite square.

Dont be stupid They're a cheap intercooler, and they actually work well, I was quite sceptical of them myself.

im not sure exactly who makes "hybrid" intercoolers but i know for sure that heat exchange services/ race radiators made about 600 intercoolers, sent them off to racepro for them to slap a couple of stickers on and call them there own.
also proven by the fact you can go to race radiators and have them make an identical i/c to the racepro/hybrid i/c.

these are extremly well designed intercoolers, using cast alloy tanks and a very well flowing core. Even outflowing big name brands like blitz, trust etc.

so would it be cheaper again to go to heat exchange services and get them wholesale (if ur in the trade) ?

Yeah, they seem to be exactly the same as a lot of the branded stuff. Much like a lot of products they all just come out of the same factory and get branded and then priced accordingly.

I read recently that they arent that good because there isnt enough of a pressure drop in the bars, air cannot get cooled properly cos it just zips straight through the cooler without being slown down to cool the air.
