Changing suspension bushes

Postby Pelo » Tue May 24, 2005 3:52 pm

I just bought a full set of nolathane bushes for the corolla, how hard and how long does it take to install them?
Would I be better off going to a workshop... and PAYING for it to be done? :?

Which parts of the car are they for? Front lower inner bushes etc?

depends on what part of the suspension they are for. if the are rear sway bar bushes they are real easy (x2 bolts each). if they are front sway bar bushes they are sometimes a little tricky to get to. if its any other suspension bush you better off taking them to a garage unless you have a few tools and a bit of suspension knowledge
want a ae86, dont want to pay 8 grand for one
have to settle for my ae92

Not to mention that some bushes have to be pressed in.

Its a pity your in Taupo. Otherwise I would of told you to bring it round to the workshop, and I would have fitted them all for you for a bottle of Jim Beam. Its not too hard for me to do, as I used to replace suspension bushes all day at SAS. (Shock Absorber Services).
