Will an AE85 diff housing fit into a 1980 DX sedan

My m8 reckens that you can put an AE85 diff and housing into a 1980 DX sedan with no worries. I was just wondering if any1 out there has tryed this and can tell me if its all good. Like the head looks a bit longer and mayby the current length of the drive shaft will be too long.

straight swap apart from driveshaft, you need the AE85 d/s due to the bigger drive flange.

thanks to someone who pointed you in the right direction regarding driveshaft issue
