ram tubes vs intake pipe

hi i gt a black top and wanting to get ram tubes but got told that its better to hav a nice air intake than the ram tubes, is it rue and also which gives more horse power? i think this myt have been postd on here befor but dont no how far back so sorry if this pops up agen

First, you might want to clean up your grammar and spelling. You have a full keyboard infront of you so there is no need to be lazy and use text speak.

Second, this kind of thread is more suited to the Technical Questions forum.

And Finally, Ram tubes/velocity stacks will typically rob of low end power for high end, depending on precise length that should be calculated using the 'H' word.

the intake you may want to think through properly, especially if its going to be quite far into the engine bay, having your intake on a bling metal pipe a foot from the throttle body is going to do much good to your engine, it may sound kool and you can tell all ur friends that you have a poddie, but all you will be doing once the engine has warmed up, is sucking in hot air. If you are going to do a "custom" intake make up a CAI box, or sumthing like it, mounted right up where you can get lots of air, through the front bumper, have it positioned in such a way you can aviod most moisture when it rains.

Plenty of guys on TS have made CAI for their levins and this topic has been done a few times before, try searching for it.
