electric window problems

Postby baker » Sun Jul 31, 2005 3:06 pm

my window on my ae92 levin isnt working.
Originally the window came out of its runner, so i took the door off and put it back it.
now the electric window doesnt work. The motor is fine, and there is current running to the switch, and the switch seems to be fine. When the glass came out originally the window still worked (motor was trying to move), but now, nothing.

any ideas? im at a loss

cheers

Well, they're simple as $&#$%, its either switch, motor, or mechanism. Did u put it back in its' runners properly? And are you sure the motor is fine? ie, have you taken the glass out and run the motor mechanism by itself to check? If it doesn't work, then its the motor.. maybe check power to the motor, you might have damaged it or something..

yea, we took the motor out and ran it off a 12v supply and it works fine. weve gone through everything with a volt metre. theres current running up to the switch, and there is current running through the switch. I can only tihnk that the switch is somehow $&#$% in some way that I cant find.
