KE70 Twin Headlight Lights

Postby pervert » Sun Aug 14, 2005 7:23 pm

Right, I've got all the bits I need to do a twin headlight conversion on my KE70, except that actual glass lights themselves.

Anyone know for sure if lights from something else will fit fine, surely Toyota did a lot of cars with the same sized lights???

It's getting a bit hard to find twin headlight model KE70's, and someones unlikely to just want to sell the lenses only, which is why I am wondering if I can just use some off another model car. I have the surrounds and indicators and everything, just not the actual glass.

Thanks.

Find out the dimensions of the lights (diameter mostly) and shoot down to Ripco or a similar car parts place, and see if they stock a universal sort of replacement in that size.

The Alfa uses a 5" round light, and I found a pair of Narva units, off the shelf at Ripco for about $25 bucks each.... they needed some modification with the mounts to fit, but it was piss easy anywhoo!

Thanks, also does anyone know how the headlights in these model KE70's usually work, i.e. when on dip do both sets of lights shine on low, or just the outside set?

I've recently done this on my KE70

Go down to repco and ask for a 5 3/4 semi seal 2 pin (x2 high beam) and a 5 3/4 3 pin (2x low / high)

You'll also need to wire in a relay to work the centre high beams, PM if you need anymore help
