Injector lag time (again)

Postby Akane » Fri Sep 30, 2005 3:11 am

Okay, I have found the injector lag time of the USDM Supra 540cc to be 0.85ms (which is heaps)
And the Gen 3 3S-GTE to be 0.56ms.

But I need to know what is the factory 430cc injectors on the Gen 2 3S-GTE, because the PowerFC does not display the default value, and I can only "add" the injector lag time to what it has already.

Anyone who gives information will get love from me.

0.85ms is not really a lot.
A lot of non-ND injectors are apparently >1ms.
however I've tended to use 0.7 -> 0.9ms as total time for inj open&close on the megasquirt with ND injectors.

with MS, you can work this out by changing between alternating and simultaneous squirts, and if change in idle, then wrong open/close time.

cheers for that info Karl, but I can't fiddle with sequential or batch with my junk ECU.

At the moment it's doing "ok" so I guess it's 0.85

He's not talking about sequential. He's talking about running two injector triggers and having them fire either on a 360 degree alternating batch or on a 720 degree all fire batch.
The answer is Helmholtz!

According to the data I have, most of which was sourced from Apexi, it is 0.56ms

I have collated all the data I have on Japanese injectors and uploaded it to;

fivebob that's some sweet data. Thanks, I'll adjust accordingly now.

And the book says for our Gen 2's the fuel pressure at rail is at 33-38psi, but some yank says it's 42psi, which one's the right one?

I am tuning this thing, got a few quotes today.
But I can't trust nobody out there, too much monkey mechanics, so trying to dial in the right parameters before they tune it.
