Hey guys heres my problem I have a 20V 4AGE and not knowing much about them how do you adjust the idle if you can at all?

Also after a frontal accident I have had to remove the a/c problem is that I now have to much flow over the radiator and the damn p.o.s never gets up to temp anymore.

Any thawts on the radiator aside from putting the a/c core back in or changing the termostat. Been there with the thermostat it didn't work the car just has to much air moving over the radiator.

Was thinking about blocking half of the radiator off is this wise??

Any help would be appreciated.

get a geniune toyota thermostat for a 20v from revvy.

you cant have to much cooling bro, your thermostat controls how much flow there is, so it should only be opening when the engine is at its operating temp.

id say you have to low a temp thermo in there.

Idle im not completely sure about on 20v's so i wont comment.

and no, blocking half the radiator is NOT a smart idea.

IMO the problem does not lie in too much air flow over the radiator at all. As Cosmo said, the more air flow the better. You may find the thermostat isn't right or the water pump is crap :?:

its all good saying that there is too much air flow but...

when you start the car first thing after a day of sitting there does the fan(s) go full time?

With aircon there is a solenoid in the AC line that i think is pressure activated and makes the fan run full time when removed.

Might wanna look into that as a possibility.

and wont hurt replacing the thermostat :)

fans dont go full time and the don't even switch on plus temp guages raises when sitting and goes down while moving. Has to be thermo.
