Yeah I know about the 1jz powered one on HO3 but it's not a 4 age your missing the point well and truly what has a Levin always had weather it be front wheel or rear wheel drive.

A 4AGE!!!!!!!!!!

Not a 1JZ or a 3SGE a good old 4AGE.

I did consider a 1GGTEU but that was the most I would go for plus I would still like to keep it looking like it was supposed to be that way not missing half a rocker cover as it dissapears under the windscreen throught the fire wall like the 1JZ idea.

The 4age will fit north south and east west and still look like it was meant to be.

Its a mater of getting what I want out of it and it has to look factory I know it sounds weird but hey im the one driving it everyday.

Don't bother about a bore or stroke increase on a 4a, just get a 7a bottom.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

of course a 1G-GTE is about the same size as a 1JZ anyway, so it would require a lot more work to fit than a 3sge.

Clearly, if you have that much money to spare, but you're only going to get a very small gain (an underpowered RWD car instead of an underpowered FWD car), you're pretty much as bad as that guy with the $10,000 4K :)

Good luck with the project man.
You've found your ideal project I say go for it.
Have you found a rear subframe from an ae105 carib yet?
Did they come with a disc brake rear?
You may need a whole rolling body as there will possibly be other bits n pieces to swap across as well. (even though you're fabricating alot of it theres some pieces you just cant make quite the same! )

And a 1JZGTE aint much more than you'll pay for a good 1GGTE aswell.
If you go 1G you have same cost, same size, same problems,
with 1/2 the HP of a 1JZ

You sound like you have all the knowledge you need to build a RWD AE101.

I have said somewhere on here that you will never get it road legal,

Yet we just did the same with a Ford Focus and XR6T motor and it is road legal.
