Can put anything in it you want. If you're asking then chances are you're paying someone to do the work so might be best to work the 4K a little bit.

What are you wanting out of it? Could put anything in it such as 4AGE, 5K, SR20, 2JZGTE, 3UZFE, 13BT, RB20DET etc etc etc

All comes down to how much money/time/effort you want to throw at it.

You could drop any K series into it, otherwise a 4AGE or 2/3T with specific mounts will also drop in. Not much else will. And by drop I mean physically sit in the engine bay and bolt to your crossmember, making it go is a different story.

If you want more info on converting these motors (been covered 2114124 times) then do a search of google or toyspeed.

Yeh a bit, go to club-k, theres heaps on there about this conversion, also on here. Theres alot more to a conversion than people sometimes think. Theres heaps of small things and youve got to change or mod heaps of stuff, like diffs, radiators, brakes, suspension usually, fuel system etc.

diffs and stuff can handle it ok, it just depends how you drive it, i think the standard brakes can pass cert if you just running a n/a 4age aswell, aslong as they have some good pads on them.

3SGTE out of a celica gt4 or somethign would go quiet well...

[quote="ke_25"]diffs and stuff can handle it ok...quote]

We've blown up many a KE30 diff and broken a few axles due to stress from skids or dragging.

The main problem was its a worked 4k with high lift cam(s?) lightened flywheel and clutch etc... and the standy diff couldnt handle it, a Hilux 8" does nicely, altho blew it up last saturday... the axles on this particular '30 dont like the wheels that are on it - some brand of 16"x205x45. They just drag the axle and snap it on corners.

If you're upgrading the engine and plan to drive the car hard, either in a straight line or around corners then you may like to think about upgrading the Diff and axles.

Just my 2c tho.

Peace
