Subframe swap from ae92 GTZ to AE82 FXGT

Postby crispy'86 » Wed Nov 30, 2005 12:20 pm

I'm looking at unbolting the whole subframe, lower arms and everything out of the front of my ae92 gtz trueon and converting into my ae82 fxgt race car. Has anyone tried this before?? I did a search and all i could find was people just putting the gtz gearbox into them. I know i'll have to change the strut tops over to the ae82 fxgt ones. Just seeing if anyone has tackled this before fully using everything from front of gtz. I possibly will use the rack and column if necessary too.

Yeah i used it lastnight Warwick, track is somewhere about 40mm wider in the engine bay. And about 100mm or less in the disc to disc width. So the arms fit up.

p.s. I'll get those mr2 doors off to Alastair to get up to you soon too
