Mr2 sw20 3sge to 3sgte conversion help!

Postby SLYMR2 » Wed Dec 14, 2005 6:23 pm

Hi i own a gen 2 g limited mr2 i have done the exhaust and air intake but it still isnt fast enough for what i want so i thought id do some research into an engine transplant. I would really like to use a gen 3 3sgte but im not sure where to find one? And do they bolt streight into the gen 2 shape? Also do you think it would be easyer just to use a gen 2 3sgte? Any help would be mint.

buy a half cut, or a crashed sw20 turbo.
then swap everything over.
a complete wreck would be the best bet tho, as fuel pumps and dash etc are probably different.

Talk to Ben (wildcard) as we did this conversion in his current mr2, with good results.

just sell your car and buy a turbo. Seriously, you'll save yourself a lot of time and money doing this.
