i/c sprayers

while the motor is out im going to run an intercooler sprayer system.
where is a good place to buy nozzles for this?

and any suggestions o how to make it?

otherwise it will consist of a new windscreen washer type bottle with pump and then just lines to the i/c sprayers

Holley Nos has just come out with a new intercooler sprayer system. It has a system of pipes that run over your intercooler. Making it about -37 degrees, cant get much colder then that

Im looking at building an i/c sprayer also, but was thinking of having it controlled by boost pressure - when boost pressure gets to a set level the water pump kicks in & sprays the i/c.
Controlled using a pressure switch, relay,pump & water reserv.

The finer the spray/mist the better the cooling effect apparently.-(Water has the ability to remove heat 4 times faster than air can so hell bitchin mist should have some benefit to this setup)

I remember a while back seeing www.autospeed.com.au had a few articles on making intercooler spayers, were pretty trick systems too

if you want a water pump I have one here you can have cheap off a sube w/a setup.

Kinda not relevant for you matt, but anyone with a linkplus can use it to control an intercooler spray setup. Comes on at set throttle/load percentage with set duty cycle and duration - pretty nifty.

legacy w2a i/c pump will be too big for what im doin, thanks anyway.

and legacy water pump will not produce enough pressure to spray properly

I remember reading a while ago about some home built ones in some magazine...
anyway... they used a fuel pump- bigger than little washer motors, ran through super fine plant irrigation sprayers.
as the fuel pump they used had a bigger flow capacity than say a washer motor it helped atomise the water better.
would be easy enough to hook up to boost pressure, but the one in the article used a microswitch that activated at about 3/4 throttle and above. They had a 15L tank strapped into the boot.
