Reliability of the 1UZFE?

Postby UTERUS » Tue Dec 20, 2005 3:37 pm

I have been checking out some cars at car yards lately and one guy seemed to think the 1uz was the devils invention and that soarers have shoddy electrics that tend to bugger out.

Is he talkin' a load of bolloks? Because i never hear of these motors or cars have problems.

Simon.

The Soarer dash electronics are known to have problems but all have been well documented and are easily fixed.

1UZFE is VERY reliable....haven't heard of much going wrong with them.

Check out planetsoarer, alsc and lextreme for the best documented information on Soarers and 1UZFEs.

only issue im aware of on the soarers is the airbag suspension.
you dont want to be paying for new bits for that.....

I can think of plenty more, however they're all Soarer specific problems, and nothing to do with the reliability of the 1UZ which will probably run forever if you treat it right.

So i should stay away from the airbag suspension models? Has anyone had any problems with the electrics? I will have a look at those sites, thanks Silent Knight
