in a FWD you'll be better off with a 4A-GZE turbo'd.

The torque in a 3S-GTE will just make you fry tires all day long.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

oops, didn't read thoroughly enough

so what other things would you like to know? Suspension arms should all be fine, the 3S-GTE isn't significantly larger than the 4AGE, so physically fitting should be no major issue, the intake manifold vs. firewall is the main contention, I'd imagine

my main problems will be mounts, but im sure ill find/pay someone who can do them.

i been told to use the Gt4 engine with the mr2 gearbox?

so if that is really about it it shudnt be to much of a big job :? ??

yeah the gt4 engine will be a good idea, that way you have wiring harness etc ready for FWD config. I can get you a GT4 gear selector linkage thing for converting the MR2 box if you like, just let me know and I will sort it.

It wont be all that easy, but if you take a methodical approach it shouldn't be overly difficult. If you read through my swap diary you'll see some of the problems that you might have to overcome, and add a little more for the difficulties outlined below:

Positioning the engine will take some time, and the wiring could take some time, since you have quite a bit of wiring going to the fusebox in a FWD.

If you want to use/keep power steering then you will possibly need to get custom hoses made up to go from the GT4 pump to the AE92 system.

"THASHZ" Has done this very conversion, (Or was it into an ae82?) he would be a good person to talk to, if you could get hold of him. 8)
