what about 20v extractors?? will they fit onto a gze? there is a guy selling some coby 4age extractors and said they foul the CAS... is that just coz they are a different design?

Coby extractors for the 4age do not fit on a 4agze sweet because the cam angle sensor gets in the way of one pipe. I know this because I bought some and am now selling them on trademe because they won't fit unless you modify the pipe by the cam angle sensor.

DONT get coby extractors for a 4age/ze theyre junk.

Perhaps 20v extractors, but ive heard that the starter motor has to be on the inlet side for them to fit.

Starter motor doesnt have to be on the inlet side. They still fit, although very close. Ive done this myself.

And yeah 2 outer bolt holes need to be modified for the 20v ones to fit. Also custom secondaries f your using 20v extractors.

So what effect would having a smaller length secondary give?

Compared to a longer secondary?

My mate put some on and lost power.
Extractors are usually tuned for peak torque but the coby's are tuned to a bit over 7'000rpm on a standard engine :?

The pipes are not matched to the plate that bolts to the head very well

I rang coby to ask why they were tuned to 7,000 and what testing they had done on them. I was informed thay the extractors were built to be easy to build and easy to fit to the car. They are not purposely tuned to any rpm and no dyno testing was done.

Thats for the fwd 16v 4age extractors, rwd may be a different story.
Your wasting your money and Hp with extractors on a 4age unless you have a modified engine and get custom extractors made up.

yep, unless your pushing over 200hp, stock ones are fine.

do some research on exhaust pulse tuning

yes, blacktop ones are a larger diameter.

all you have to do is notch the 2 outer holes in the manifold.
if you have engine apart some port matching would be an idea too
