will this work (ae101 gt-z loom and 4agte)

Postby scope » Fri Jan 20, 2006 1:47 pm

hi

i'm building a 4age turbo using an ae101 smallport 4agze head with a redtop bottom end (the one with oil squirters) with ae101 4agze pistons and rods for my ke30. if i get a wiring loom and computer from an ae101 gt-z, will this work with the turbo and redtop block just fine? i'm thinking it will, but better make sure first

cheers

Make sure you get 8.9:1 pistons as the 8.0:1 will bottom out on the oil squirters, or you could cut a grove into the 8:1 pistons, either way dont use standard 8:1 pistons with squirters

If its smallport block all should be fine. Should have knock sensor. Might need crank angle sensor but smallport crank angle sensor works fine, I have had my ae101 4agze ecu working fine with the standard smallport sam angle sensor, just gotta make a new cover to replace the dizzy and rotor.

oh I see your using ae101 pistons, these will be sweet with oil squirters.

If you have smallport loom the only main differences are 1 extra ingnitor wire to the ecu and a ballast injector from the injectors. All you need is a 22pin interior plug and rewire the plugs.
