Sleepy eyes...

Postby SpeedRacer » Tue Jan 31, 2006 5:33 pm

hey guys, once again sort of a rice question...

has anyone done a sleepy eyes mod to an ae92 trueno? have been looking at kits and they're like US$100. also do they actually let more air into the engine bay or is it just good in theory?

lights on....
lights off...

wait until they start to go down..
lights to parkies. Done. :)

its just ricy bling lol, id say it would let a wee bit more air in, but nothing noticable.

I think that the original idea of the sleepy eyes mod, was where people had installed different headlights, which only had to go a little way up...

So you dont get the rediculous drag that is associated with full faced pop up head lights.

put a momentary switch in the middle of the circuit (you may have to rangi up somes wires, then slowly tap the button and adjust them up to preferred height.

Not recommended for long term use. :P

Nah just do what cozmo said.

1:Turn your lights on
2:Turn your lights off
3:Wait for the lights to go down
4:Before they go right down turn you lights on to park and they will stay there.

Note: Will not work if you have extremely bad reflexes.

Hey speed racer I saw you driving the other night with the white bonnet etc :P matte black it I reckon.

can also easily modify the length of the servo arms...takes a little mucking round to make sure you still get full extension though. in the end why...

hey truenotch, yea i thought you might hav been a fellow toyspeeder (just a wild guess were you by woolworths at the lights? I think I was working....), yea its primer grey now, almost the same as the colour of the car.
needs another coat and i was thinking bout matt black so ya never kno...

next time you see me toot or someting....

can also easily modify the length of the servo arms...

why...

good point, I was thinking of a varible switch (like volume thing on radio) so I can choose the height by turn left or right. ( make any sense?)

yeh, you can actually buy kits that let you do that, and also turn the lights on while at that setting. (or play with some wiring, a virable resistor etc and your away laughing)
