ae101 fueltank *help*

hey peepz, umm have a bit of a problem with a m8s ae101. it has now gota hole in the fuel tank from hittin a rock underneath.. i stil havnt had a look but we could clearly see it was leckin hardout and from there so wot too do? take it off and get a metal plate welded or a new tank is needed?

any help would be great thanks

I'm no engineer, but i wouldn't go near a gas tank with a welder.

Should be able to pick up a second hand one cheap, there's a couple of ae101's being parted out on trademe at the moment.

u can use a pluber soldering iron an solder it is its small, but better all round to just replace it

Must be welded inplace in the car on a hoist!, with a mostly full tank and no power/foam extinguishers! Yeah baby!

... tanks arent too expensive, and semi-easy to replace if u can get the car totally of the ground
