Also am at the stage to buy the engine and box + auto to man conversion gear what's some good places to get some prices from?

A lot og guys in the US are doing this type of conversion. Most seem to use an MR2 turbo box with ST202/5 gear linkages.

The ST202/206 LSD gearboxes are E56s. Get it along with driveshafts.... will mean no mucking around with driveshafts and swapping gear linkages around etc.
