Hey.
There was this "pot" thingy bolt to the passenger side strut tower next to the fuel filter. It appears to be some sort of vacuum vessel, but I'm not sure. Nothing came out of it when I disconnected all the hoses, and I haven't tried to track where the piping went yet.
It doesn't appear in the Haynes AE92 repair manual.
Anyone know what it is? I'll try to post pic when I get a chance.

Charcoal Canister ?

A storage device in the evaporative emissions control system. It is a small cylindrical or rectangular container that contains activated charcoal particles. The charcoal traps gasoline vapors from the fuel tank (and carburetor on older vehicles). Later, the vapors are purged and drawn into the engine when the vehicle is being driven. See EVAP System.
