AW11 Auto ECU w/Manual Gearbox

Hey guys,
Just brought a 84 n/a mr2 and found that its got an A/T ecu in it. Just wondering if I changed this back to a manual one whether it would be beneficial for the cars preformance?

Im one of those others too...mine ran well before I took it off the road to pull apart and rebuild.
Cant believe im still a member here.
