wheel alignment/bung struts?

hello

a mate of mine has a ke30 which was in obvious need of a wheel alignment (if you put one wheel straight and looked at the other it was angled outwards and of uneven tyre wear, the inside of the tyre wears out real quick) so she took it to get an alignment. they said they did the best they could, but something was wrecked or broken or bung (female trying to explain what the wheel alignment dude said here..) and that it didn't work very well. so i had a look to see if any noticeable different and it looked exactly the same as before the alignment. how would i fix this? going through 215/50/13s fast is not a cheap thing. would new struts fix this? or is the bung wheel due to something to do with the steering arms/etc ?

Theres really a lot of things it could be. It may be a bent steering arm, or a bent suspension arm from hitting something in its history (not hard to do really)...even a misaligned body if its ever had a bigger accident. However, if obvious, it would have been visable in a wof...or should have been. Perhaps, have her go back (or go back with her) to the alignment place and get them to write down what they said was the issue- as they appeared to know- its always a better approach than just describing to others on the net.
