So would a horse and cart, but that doesnt mean that I'd want to be seen dead in one. :P

And, back on topic:

The fuse in the fusebox for the ECU has zero volts running across it.

Yet if I put a multimeter on one side of it, and earth the other end of the multimeter to the chassis, I get a voltage.

What would this suggest?
A bad/missing earth somewhere?

please say you not testing for voltage acroos the fuse with it still in there
i.e placing teh postice and the negative probs on there respective sides of teh fuse....

Fuse out, checking on the terminals that it plugs into.

Try checking the power side of the fuse to earth instead, that way you eliminate the Power feed as the problem and can start looking at the ECU earthing as the issue.

is your ignitor earths well ??
or bolted to teh chassis at all ?

they earth though the case and no earth = no spark
