it seems to be the cool thing to do at the moment. i was going to do it but i'm not into the whole popular modification thing. ae101 fxgt or liftback with gze?? The engine mounts for a gze are the same as with a ge, the gearboxes are different and as such have different mounts. There is only one mount on the engine and 2or3 (cant remember) on the gearbox. If you can get a cheap halfcut that would help. but for the money it may be more worthwhile going silvertop turbo...??
When in doubt, down and out.

yor doing the ae101 shape tho where as i wana do the ae92 shape one is there much difference considering yours would have been an injected one to start with and the ae92 is just a 4af carby.
how much can u pick up a gtz front cut for? im after the map sensored version from an ae101.

Have a serious think about turboing your present motor...
Use your present motor and gearbox, find bigger brakes (e.g. 20v front and rear brakes).
Run about 4 to 6 pounds of boost and you will be happy!
It will also be probably be cheaper
Talk to Al (TWSTD) as he did this to his mint AE101 4wd? Wagon... a few clever tricks using the factory computer and he was a very happy man!
I even think it was a 5afe 1.5L motor!

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

if you want that engine in a front cut, itll be worth nearly twice as much as your car! 8O

ae101 gtz front cut id say ...... abouit 2500 min

i was thinkn about doin that to the 4afe kinloud, didnt know the specs on it back then, cuz its basically a bluey! 8)

yea i think id rather go for an injected engine though.. ive got about a 12k budget all up bt i was hoping to do some visual mods aswell with that cash but i take it the 4agze conversion would use alot of my budget?

nah i used to have a 91 wagon and was ae92. would the brakes etc bolt straight on from a ae92 gtz? would it make it any easier to do the conversion with the ae92 engine as it comes out of the same shape car?
thanks for all your help guys.

engine = dosent mater, it think, me fat_boy and XSVWGN are all running ae92 gze's.

brakes im sure they will fit. ae101 gt-apex and gtz brakes bolt straight into mine, so i dont see why 92s wont go onto your 92.

just remember to get the handbrake cable, cuz its differeent for disks

-thanks 20v rollaboy.

thats strange about your 1991 being ae92 cuz my ae101 gt-apex donor car is 1991, maybe they changed the models mid year,

-weres revhead? :?
