4age plenum brace

Postby repowered » Wed Apr 19, 2006 5:49 pm

hey

putting a 4age in my ke30, how many of you guys are using the plenum brace that bolts from pleum to engine mounts. my custom mounts dont have provison for it.

I could modify it to fit though. someone told me people dont bother with it, just thought id check what others had done.

I just modified mine, just in the sense that it was put there for a reason, why not spend 15 minutes modifying it, doing it properly and possibly preventing a future problem.

But in saying that, others have run it without and works fine so up to you.

Unbolt it, then throw it into the garden :D

Or alternatively, throw it in the neighbours garden, for them to find with the lawnmower...

I have mine attached.... but having said that, the inlet manifold looks well bolted on so I dont think it would be necessary.

my manifold broke and I attribute it to not running that brace for 4 years .. cracked off on one of the runners
