Dyno required - Penrose AKL area

Postby RunningRich » Mon May 08, 2006 4:28 pm

I have an Alfa that I've been rebuilding for a couple of years. It is now ready to go and I want to run in the engine on a chassis dyno (because of no warrant/rego/insurance - rebuilt engine, brakes, gearbox etc). Last minute logistic requirements of moving next weekend does not alllow me to use my dyno of choice, so I'm looking around Mt Wellington/Penrose/Onehunga for an alternative. I know Spillman have an old one and there is Turbo Vehicles.

I'm figuring 60-90 miinutes to get it up to temperature, put some load on it and do a couple of power runs.

Do I have other options? The car is rwd and otherwise totally conventional so I'm not expecting problems.

60-90mins? sounds a bit excessive to get it up to temp.

Read it again, with the punctuation this time!

I'm guessing you mean Spillman on Neilson. I'll call past them.

Cheers
